Coolant Mixed with Engine Oil

My bike age is around 8 years old. I'm using this bike daily. One day, I've encountered a situation when doing my routine service to the bike. The color of the engine oil is brownish mixed with white color. This situation tells you that the coolant already goes into the engine.

How does the coolant can get into the engine? First, you must check your cylinder block. Check the gasket and water jacket around the cylinder block. Second, the coolant might slip from the water pump oil seal. If the cylinder block is in good condition, this mean that you need to do something with the water pump.

Usually the maintenance is done by changing the fan or impeller as well as the gasket and water pump seal that connect this part with the engine head. The cost of this maintenance is around RM50-60 only (not including the service charge).

The problem is, after a while the same problem will happen where the coolant still going into the engine. If you experience the same problem with me, the best solution is to 'Change the whole set' and it should last longer than you expect. You can get the original part (HLY) from as low as RM105 (complete set).

Why this problem still happen? It is because of the housing for the seal has worn out. This problem is due to the process of removing the seal.
